Previously, Apple kept these apps to guide customers. However, their role became limited over time. Eventually, Apple removed them completely. Therefore, users must now rely on the TV app for video purchases.

Instead, Apple introduced the Watchlist feature as a replacement. This tool allows users to save content easily. Furthermore, Watchlist works smoothly across Apple devices. Consequently, users still track their favorite content without problems.

Improved Audio Settings Enhance Experience

tvOS 26.4 also brings updated audio controls. Spatial Audio now replaces the Dolby Atmos label. Therefore, users receive a more immersive sound experience.

Users can also select Dolby Digital 5.1 manually. Stereo mode remains available for basic setups. Meanwhile, Auto mode adjusts sound automatically. Apple also added continuous audio connection for HDMI devices.

tvOS 26.4 Release and Availability

Currently, tvOS 26.4 is available for developers and beta testers. However, the public release will arrive in spring. Therefore, all Apple TV users will receive these changes soon.

Overall, Apple continues simplifying its entertainment ecosystem. As a result, users benefit from a cleaner and unified viewing experience.
